Toulouse-Lautrec created this poster for Jane Avril, the famous can-can dancer, in 1899 — for some reason it was never displayed. The composition is so dynamic and the color scheme is wonderful. I wish someone would recreate her dress for today (minus the orange dust-ruffle, perhaps?) The ombre effect on the snake would completely fit into Prada's Fall/Winter 2007 collection...
Or you could slip on a pair of Prada shoes from Spring/Summer 2009, if you felt like playing with the snake motif...
Maybe I should take a sewing class...
